When families lose loved ones there is bound to be
grief. Hundreds of books have been written on the subject of grief.
In my opinion all of them are right and all of them are wrong. Grief is
not a mechanical function that we can diagram and predict the outcome. We
are all individuals, unique, different, there for it stands to reason the way we
deal with grief will vary. The important thing is that we acknowledge it
and deal with it.
It is not required to to memorize the steps of grief, nor is
it required to make sure that we move through the steps in sequential
order. Knowledge and information are the most beneficial tools in dealing
with grief.
